The strongest tech deal on November 4, 2026 is the Sony WH-1000XM5 for $199.99, about half the reference price at both Amazon and Best Buy. Best Buy also has the Apple Watch Ultra 3 (GPS + Cellular) for $549, the M4 Mac mini for $649 and a Ryzen 7 Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for $599.99 as a Deal of the Day. Amazon is cheaper on the M5 MacBook Pro 14-inch with 1TB at $1,799.

Two smaller buys round out the list: the Logitech MX Master 3S mouse at $79.99 (same price at both stores) and the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus at $39.99. Several of today’s discounts are on models that now have newer versions, so each section says what the newer model changes and who should pay more for it.

Sony WH-1000XM5: $199.99 at Amazon and Best Buy

Price: $199.99 at Best Buy (model WH1000XM5/B, SKU 6505727), $198.01 or 50% below its $398.00 Comp. Value. Amazon also shows $199.99, 50% below a $399.99 List Price, but the black listing we checked was sold and shipped by Focus Camera LLC, a third-party seller, not Amazon itself.

These are Sony’s 2022 flagship noise-cancelling headphones: 30mm drivers, eight microphones for noise cancelling and calls, Bluetooth multipoint for a laptop and phone at once, and up to 30 hours of battery life with noise cancelling on. Best Buy shows a 4.6-star average from 6,675 reviews; Amazon shows 4.2 stars from 20,304 ratings.

• Buy it if: you take calls from home or shared spaces and want strong noise cancelling for about $200.
• Skip it if: you want headphones that fold flat. The XM5 earcups swivel but don’t fold, so the case is bulkier than older Sony models.
• Newer model: the WH-1000XM6 replaced it and sold for $378 at both stores when we checked on November 2. The extra $178 buys folding earcups and updated processing, not a different class of product.

With the price tied, Best Buy is the simpler choice because Best Buy sells and ships the unit itself, which keeps returns in one place.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 (GPS + Cellular, 49mm): $549 at Best Buy

Price: $549 at Best Buy for the black titanium case with Black Ocean Band (model MF0J4LW/A, SKU 6572972), $250 or 31% below its $799 Comp. Value. This is Best Buy’s featured Deal of the Day offer for select Ultra 3 models, rated 4.9 stars from 644 reviews.

The Ultra 3 is the 2025 model with a 49mm titanium case, built-in cellular so it works away from your phone, and a wide-angle OLED display. Best Buy also lists the newer Ultra 4, so the Ultra 3 is now the previous generation. For a watch bought mainly for notifications, calls and fitness tracking, the older model at $250 off is the better use of money.

• Buy it if: you have an iPhone and want a rugged Apple Watch with cellular for less than the current Ultra 4.
• Skip it if: you use Android (Apple Watch requires an iPhone), or you’d pay a carrier plan for cellular you won’t use.

Apple Mac mini M4 (16GB, 256GB): $649 at Best Buy

Price: $649 at Best Buy (model MU9D3LL/A, SKU 6566918), $150 or 19% below its $799 Comp. Value. Rated 4.9 stars from 1,565 reviews. We found no new M4 Mac mini listing on Amazon; Amazon’s cheapest new Mac mini was an M6 model at $779.

The M4 Mac mini has a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD in a five-inch-square case, with two USB-C ports on the front, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet on the back. You supply the monitor, keyboard and mouse.

• Buy it if: you need a desk computer for email, documents, browser work and light photo editing, and already own a monitor.
• Skip it if: you keep large photo or video libraries locally. 256GB fills quickly, and Apple’s storage can’t be upgraded later, so plan on an external drive.
• Versus the M6: the $130 gap to Amazon’s $779 M6 base model buys a newer chip. For office work the M4 at $649 is the better value.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15.3″ (Ryzen 7 170, 16GB, 512GB): $599.99 at Best Buy

Price: $599.99 at Best Buy (model 83K700TUUS, SKU 6674708), $400 or 40% below its $999.99 Comp. Value. It’s one of today’s Bonus Deals of the Day, and the product page showed a countdown of about 17 hours when we checked. Rated 4.8 stars from 150 reviews.

You get an AMD Ryzen 7 170 processor with integrated Radeon graphics, 16GB of memory, a 512GB SSD, Windows 11 Home and a 15.3-inch 16:10 IPS touchscreen. Best Buy’s title calls the screen “2K”, but its spec list gives the resolution as 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA), which is a little taller than standard Full HD, not 2560 x 1600.

• Buy it if: you want a Windows laptop for spreadsheets, invoicing, video calls and many browser tabs, with enough memory that it won’t slow down in two years.
• Skip it if: you edit video or play demanding games; integrated graphics limit both.
• Don’t confuse it with: the IdeaPad Slim 3i with an Intel N355, 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage, also in today’s Deal of the Day list. That model is far weaker.

MacBook Pro 14″ M5 (16GB, 1TB): $1,799 at Amazon

Price: $1,799 at Amazon in Space Black, sold and shipped by Amazon.com, $200 or 10% below its $1,999 List Price, with 4.7 stars from 344 ratings. Best Buy has the same configuration (model MDE14LL/A, SKU 6565872) for $1,849, $150 below its $1,999 Comp. Value, so Amazon is $50 lower today.

This configuration pairs the M5 chip (10-core CPU, 10-core GPU) with 16GB of memory, a 1TB SSD and the 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display. The 1TB drive matters more than it looks: it’s the storage most people end up wanting, and it can’t be added later.

• Buy it if: you edit photos or video, run several heavy apps at once, or work away from a desk and need long battery life.
• Skip it if: your work is documents and browser apps. The Mac mini above costs $1,150 less, or a MacBook Air covers it for less.

Amazon also listed a renewed unit of this laptop for $1,649 from a third-party seller with nine ratings. We left it out because it’s used and the seller history is thin.

Beats Powerbeats Pro 2: $179.99 at Best Buy

Price: $179.99 at Best Buy in Quick Sand & Black (model ML444LL/A, SKU 6501056), $70 or 28% below its $249.99 Comp. Value. Amazon has the Jet Black version for $199.95 from Amazon.com, 20% below a $249.99 List Price, so Best Buy is $19.96 lower if the color suits you.

These are earhook workout earbuds with active noise cancelling, a heart-rate sensor in each bud, sweat and water resistance, and Beats’ rating of up to 45 hours of total battery life with the charging case. Amazon shows 4.1 stars from 5,991 ratings; the Best Buy listing for this color has only five reviews.

• Buy it if: regular earbuds fall out when you run or train, and you want one pair for workouts and calls.
• Skip it if: you wear glasses all day. Earhooks and glasses arms compete for the same space behind the ear.

Logitech MX Master 3S Bluetooth edition: $79.99 at Amazon and Best Buy

Price: $79.99 at Amazon (Graphite, sold by Amazon.com), $20 or 20% below a $99.99 List Price, rated 4.6 stars from 792 ratings. Best Buy has the Bluetooth Edition (model 910-007500) at the same $79.99 against a $99.99 Comp. Value, rated 4.8 stars from 386 reviews.

The MX Master 3S has an 8,000 DPI sensor, quiet clicks, a free-spinning metal scroll wheel, a thumb wheel for horizontal scrolling and USB-C charging. It can pair with three computers and switch between them with a button.

• Buy it if: you spend hours in spreadsheets, long documents or timelines and use more than one computer.
• Skip it if: you have small hands or need a mouse that works without Bluetooth. Both of these listings are Bluetooth-only and don’t include Logitech’s USB receiver, which matters on some work PCs that block Bluetooth.

A 20% discount is real but small. If you aren’t replacing a worn-out mouse, wait for a deeper cut.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus: $39.99 at Amazon

Price: $39.99 at Amazon, sold by Amazon.com, $30 or 43% below its $69.99 List Price, marked as a limited-time deal. It has 4.6 stars from 116,126 ratings.

The 4K Plus streams in 4K with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, uses Wi-Fi 6 and includes Amazon’s Alexa voice remote. It’s a cheap way to give an older TV or a spare monitor with HDMI a modern streaming interface.

Amazon also had the cheaper Fire TV Stick 4K (newest model) at $24.99, but its listing averaged 3.2 stars from 617 ratings, so the extra $15 for the 4K Plus is the safer buy. Skip both if you already use Apple TV, Google TV or a smart TV whose apps work well; the Fire TV interface carries a lot of Amazon promotions.

Deals we checked and left out

• Portable SSDs: Samsung T7 Shield 2TB listings on Amazon ranged from $271.28 to $557.03, with no clear discount against a reference price. Storage prices are high right now, so we didn’t feature any.
• Kindle Paperwhite: listed at $199.99 to $249.99 with no discount shown.
• Repeats: the M6 Mac mini, MacBook Air 15-inch M5, AirTag 4-pack, Sony WH-1000XM6 and the Core 7 IdeaPad Slim 3i were featured in our November 3 deals and November 2 lists, so we didn’t repeat them today.

How to choose between today’s deals

If you’re equipping a home office on a budget, the Mac mini at $649 or the IdeaPad Slim 3 at $599.99 covers the computer, and the Sony XM5 at $199.99 covers calls. Pick the Mac if you already have a monitor and an iPhone; pick the Lenovo if you need something portable or rely on Windows-only software.

The two best percentage discounts with large review counts are the XM5 (50%) and the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (43%). The MacBook Pro and MX Master 3S discounts are 10% and 20%, so buy those only if you need them now. Best Buy’s Black Friday page says “No rainchecks”, so a price drop after you buy isn’t guaranteed to be refunded; check each store’s price-match and return terms before checkout.

At $199.99, yes for most people. It’s $178 less than the XM6 was on November 2, and the main things you give up are folding earcups and newer processing.

Is Amazon or Best Buy cheaper today?

It depends on the product. Amazon was $50 lower on the MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 with 1TB. Best Buy was $19.96 lower on Powerbeats Pro 2 (in a different color). The Sony XM5 and MX Master 3S were the same price at both.
