The best tech deals on November 3, 2026 are mostly at Best Buy, which has opened its early Black Friday pricing: a Surface Laptop with Snapdragon X2 Plus for $1,199.99 ($400 off its comparable value), a 16GB Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i for $479.99 as today’s Deal of the Day, and the Google Home Speaker for $79.99. Amazon’s strongest offers are the Anker Prime 160W charger for $115.99 and the MacBook Neo for $669.22, about $30 under Best Buy.

Samsung’s 9100 PRO 2TB SSD was $399.99 at both stores, 41% below the reference price each one shows. Below are the verified prices, the reference each discount is measured against, and who should skip each deal.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 13.8-inch (Snapdragon X2 Plus): $1,199.99 at Best Buy

Best Buy has the 2026 Surface Laptop with a 13.8-inch 2K touchscreen, a 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus processor, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD (model EP2-59045, Black) at $1,199.99. Best Buy lists its Comp. Value at $1,599.99, so the saving is $400, or 25%. The listing showed a 4.9-out-of-5 rating from 46 reviews. 9to5Toys reported on November 2 that several Surface Laptop configurations had dropped to the lowest prices it had tracked at Best Buy; we did not check a price-history tool ourselves.

  • Who it’s for: anyone who wants a 13.8-inch Windows laptop with a touchscreen and 512GB of storage, and who has confirmed their apps run on Windows on Arm.
  • Who should skip it: people who rely on older printer or scanner drivers, niche plug-ins or games with anti-cheat software. Snapdragon chips run Windows on Arm, and some older x86 software and drivers still run under emulation or not at all.
  • Pros: 512GB rather than 256GB storage at this price; touchscreen; $400 below Best Buy’s comparable value.
  • Cons: Arm compatibility checks needed before buying; Best Buy’s review summary flagged the limited number of ports.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i 15.6-inch (Core i5, 16GB): $479.99 at Best Buy

This is one of Best Buy’s Bonus Deals of the Day: the IdeaPad Slim 3i with a 15.6-inch Full HD screen, a 2023 Intel Core i5-1335U, 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD (model 82X700KEUS, Arctic Grey) for $479.99. Best Buy shows a $899.99 Comp. Value, a $420 (47%) saving, and the page’s countdown showed about 17 hours left when we checked at 7:50 a.m. ET, which points to the price ending around 1 a.m. ET on Wednesday. It is rated 4.8 out of 5 from 232 reviews.

Treat the $899.99 comparable value with caution: the i5-1335U is a 2023 chip, and it is hard to find this laptop selling near that figure. The useful fact is simpler. A 16GB Windows laptop with a Core i5 for under $500 is a fair price for email, browser-based tools, spreadsheets and video calls.

  • Who it’s for: a second laptop for client calls and admin work, or a first laptop for someone who mostly works in a browser.
  • Who should skip it: anyone storing large photo or video libraries locally; 256GB fills quickly. Do not confuse it with the cheaper Deal of the Day IdeaPad that has an Intel N150, 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage, which we left out.
  • Pros: 16GB of memory at under $500; x86 Windows, so no app-compatibility questions.
  • Cons: older processor; small SSD; the price is tied to today’s Deal of the Day.

Apple MacBook Neo 13-inch: $669.22 at Amazon

Amazon sells the 13-inch MacBook Neo with the A18 Pro chip, 8GB of unified memory, a 256GB SSD and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera in Citrus for $669.22, sold and shipped by Amazon. Best Buy charges $699.00 for the same configuration (model MHFH4LL/A in Blush), so Amazon is $29.78 (about 4%) cheaper. Amazon showed a 4.6-out-of-5 rating from 1,579 reviews; Best Buy showed 4.9 from 1,535.

This is a competitive price rather than a deep discount. 9to5Toys, which tracks Apple pricing, described MacBook Neo discounts as very light or non-existent, so $30 under Best Buy is the practical saving today. Other colors may cost more at Amazon.

  • Who it’s for: a Mac for writing, invoicing, browser-based tools and video calls, for someone who wants macOS at the lowest current entry price.
  • Who should skip it: anyone who keeps many apps open, edits video, or runs local AI tools. 8GB of memory is the limit and cannot be upgraded later.
  • Pros: lowest price of the two retailers; sold by Amazon itself.
  • Cons: 8GB memory and 256GB storage; small saving.

Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB SSD: $399.99 at Amazon and Best Buy

The Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB (model MZ-VAP2T0B/AM, no heatsink) is $399.99 at Amazon against a $679.97 List Price, and $399.99 at Best Buy against a $679.99 Comp. Value. That is $279.98 to $280 off, or 41%, at either store. It is a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 2280 drive rated for up to 14,700 MB/s sequential reads and 13,400 MB/s writes. Amazon showed 4.7 out of 5 from 2,029 ratings; Best Buy showed 4.9 from 256 reviews.

If 1TB is enough, Amazon has the 1TB 9100 PRO for $249.99 (List $339.99, 26% off). Per terabyte the 2TB model is the better buy: about $200 per TB against $250.

  • Who it’s for: desktop owners with a free PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot who move large files, edit video or run virtual machines.
  • Who should skip it: owners of PCIe 4.0 systems. The drive works in a Gen 4 slot but is capped at that slot’s speed, so a PCIe 4.0 drive is the better match. PS5 owners need a heatsink, which this model does not include.
  • Pros: same price at both stores; 41% below both retailers’ reference prices.
  • Cons: we could not check a price-history tool, so we cannot say whether $399.99 is unusually low for this drive; the gap between the reference price and the selling price may overstate the real saving.

Anker Prime Charger 160W: $115.99 at Amazon

The Anker Prime Charger with three USB-C ports and 160W total output is $115.99 at Amazon, down from a $149.99 List Price ($34, or 23%, off). It is sold by AnkerDirect and shipped by Amazon. Best Buy lists the same charger (model A2687) at $149.99, so Amazon is $34 cheaper. Amazon showed 4.6 out of 5 from 1,402 ratings.

Anker says a single port can deliver 140W, enough to fast-charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro, and that the three ports can split power as 140W + 35W + 35W. A small screen shows live output, and settings can be changed in Anker’s app over Bluetooth.

  • Who it’s for: anyone who travels with a laptop, phone and tablet and wants one charger instead of three.
  • Who should skip it: people charging only a phone or a 13-inch laptop; a cheaper 65W to 100W charger is enough.
  • Pros: 140W from one port; $34 below Best Buy.
  • Cons: no cable in the box; a third-party seller (AnkerDirect), although Amazon handles shipping.

Google Home Speaker: $79.99 at Best Buy

Best Buy has the Google Home Speaker in Hazel (model GA10554-US) for $79.99, marked as a Holiday Deal, against a $99.99 Comp. Value: $20, or 20%, off. It is rated 4.5 out of 5 from 151 reviews. At Amazon the same Hazel speaker was $99.99 from a third-party seller, so Best Buy is $20 cheaper and sells it directly.

  • Who it’s for: Google Home users who want a speaker with Gemini for Home voice control and 360-degree sound in a home office or kitchen.
  • Who should skip it: Apple Home or Alexa households, and anyone uneasy about an always-listening microphone in a room where client calls happen.
  • Pros: 20% off; sold by Best Buy rather than a marketplace seller.
  • Cons: it needs a Google account and the Google Home app; the Amazon listing is not a cheaper alternative today.

Deals we checked and left out

  • Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (2026): $24.99 against a $59.99 List Price (58% off), but the listing’s rating was 3.2 out of 5 from 578 ratings when we checked.
  • Twelve South Power Bug 2-in-1 Qi2 charger: $33.99 against a $49.99 List Price (32% off), but rated 3.6 out of 5 from 204 ratings.
  • Dell 27 4K monitor (S2725QS): $279.99 at Amazon against a $299.99 List Price, only 7% off.
  • Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i with Intel N150: Best Buy’s main Deal of the Day, but 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage are too little for most work laptops.

How to judge today’s prices

  • Check the reference. A Best Buy Comp. Value or an Amazon List Price is the retailer’s own number. The Surface Laptop and 9100 PRO discounts look large partly because of those reference figures.
  • Compare the exact model. Colors and configurations are often priced differently. The MacBook Neo price above applies to the Citrus color on Amazon.
  • Check the seller. On Amazon, “sold by” matters for returns and warranty. The Anker charger is sold by AnkerDirect; the Google speaker at Amazon came from a smaller third-party seller.
  • Know the return window. Early Black Friday purchases can still drop further before November 27. Keep receipts and check each retailer’s price-match and holiday return rules before you buy.

If you need a Windows laptop today, the $479.99 IdeaPad Slim 3i is the value pick and the $1,199.99 Surface Laptop is the stronger machine, provided your apps run on Arm. Mac buyers should take the $669.22 MacBook Neo at Amazon over Best Buy’s $699. For desktop upgrades, the 9100 PRO 2TB costs the same at both stores, so buy from whichever has the better return terms for you. Check the cart price before paying, because several of these prices may change within the day.
