The strongest tech deals on November 2, 2026 are Apple accessories and Macs at Amazon: AirPods Pro 3 for $199 ($50 below list), an AirTag (2nd generation) 4-pack for $70 ($29 below list) and the M6 Mac mini with 24GB of memory for $1,149. In each of those three cases Amazon was cheaper than Best Buy when we checked. Best Buy’s best offers were a 16GB Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i for $629.99 and an Anker power bank and charger bundle for $65.98 as its Deal of the Day.

Sony’s WH-1000XM6 headphones were $378 at both stores, and the 15-inch M5 MacBook Air was $1,299.99 at Amazon in Sky Blue, $49 less than the Midnight model at either retailer. Below are the verified prices, what each discount is measured against, and who should skip each one.

Amazon has AirPods Pro 3 for $199.00, 20% ($50) below its $249.00 List Price, sold and shipped by Amazon. Best Buy listed the same earbuds at $249.99 (model MFHP4LL/A) with no discount, so Amazon was $50.99 cheaper at the time we checked.

  • Key features: active noise cancellation, heart-rate sensing, USB-C charging case
  • Ratings: 4.4 out of 5 from 17,341 Amazon ratings; 4.8 out of 5 from 11,967 Best Buy reviews
  • Price context: $199 is the price several deal sites, including MacRumors and AppleInsider, have reported as the recurring low for AirPods Pro 3 since December 2025. We did not check a price-history tracker, so treat it as a strong price rather than a confirmed record

Who it’s for: iPhone users who take calls in noisy places or want one pair of earbuds for commuting, focus work and workouts. Skip it if you use Android, where automatic device switching and some controls are not available, or if you already own AirPods Pro 2 and mainly want noise cancellation; the upgrade costs $199 for incremental gains.

  • Pros: $50 off, sold and shipped directly by Amazon, large review base at both stores.
  • Cons: best features depend on Apple devices; the Best Buy price was not discounted, so a Best Buy price match would not lower it further.

Apple AirTag (2nd generation) 4-pack: $70 at Amazon

Amazon has the AirTag (2nd generation) 4-pack for $70.00, 29% ($29) below the $99.00 List Price, sold and shipped by Amazon. That works out to $17.50 per tracker. Best Buy had the same 4-pack for $89.00 (model MFEA4LL/A), $10 below its $99.00 Comp. Value, so Amazon was $19 cheaper.

  • Accessories: no keyring or holder included, so budget for one per tag if you plan to attach them to keys or bags

Who it’s for: anyone who travels with a laptop bag, camera case or checked luggage, or who keeps losing keys. For a one-person business, four tags cover keys, a work bag, a luggage tag and a gear case. Skip it if you use Android; AirTags can’t be set up without an Apple device.

Amazon lists the M6 Mac mini with 24GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD at $1,149.00, $150 (12%) below its $1,299.00 List Price, sold and shipped by Amazon. Best Buy had the same configuration (model MHQM4LL/A) at $1,199.00, $100 below its $1,299.00 Comp. Value. 9to5Toys called $1,149.99 this configuration’s best price on October 5, 2026; today’s $1,149 is 99 cents lower, so it matches that low rather than meaningfully beating it.

  • Memory/storage: 24GB unified memory, 512GB SSD
  • Ratings: 4.6 out of 5 from 74 Amazon ratings; 4.8 out of 5 from 10 Best Buy reviews (small sample sizes)

Who it’s for: solo workers who already own a monitor, keyboard and mouse and want a quiet desktop for photo editing, many browser tabs, local AI tools or light video work. 24GB gives more room than the base 16GB model for running several heavy apps at once. Skip it if you need a portable machine or don’t own a display; adding a decent monitor can push the total well past a MacBook Air. MacBook Air 15-inch M5 (16GB, 512GB): $1,299.99 at Amazon

Amazon has the 15-inch M5 MacBook Air in Sky Blue for $1,299.99, $199.01 (13%) below its $1,499.00 List Price. The Midnight version was $1,349.00 at Amazon, and Best Buy had Midnight at $1,349.00 (model MDVH4LL/A, $150 below its $1,499.00 Comp. Value). Both Amazon listings were sold and shipped by Amazon.

Who it’s for: people who want a large screen for spreadsheets or side-by-side windows without the weight and price of a MacBook Pro. Skip it if you want the cheapest Mac laptop; MacRumors reported the 13-inch M5 Air at $949.99 at Amazon earlier this year, and that model covers the same everyday work in a smaller body. The discount here is moderate, so if colour matters and you don’t want Sky Blue, the saving shrinks to $150.

Sony WH-1000XM6: $378 at Amazon and Best Buy

Sony’s noise-cancelling headphones were $378.00 at both stores. At Amazon that is $81.99 (18%) below a $459.99 List Price; at Best Buy (model WH1000XM6/B) it is $80 (17%) below a $458.00 Comp. Value. Neither retailer was cheaper, so buy from whichever has the return policy or pickup option you prefer.

Skip it if you mainly want something pocketable; the AirPods Pro 3 deal above is $179 cheaper and fits in a pocket, though over-ear headphones usually last longer per charge.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i 15.3″ (Core 7 350, 16GB, 512GB): $629.99 at Best Buy

Best Buy has the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i (model 83RR0000US, SKU 6679017) for $629.99. Best Buy shows it as $670 off a $1,299.99 Comp. Value, a 52% figure. We could not verify that the laptop has ever sold at or near $1,299.99, so we treat this as a competitive price for the specs rather than a confirmed 52% discount.

  • Display: 15.3-inch anti-glare touchscreen; Best Buy’s description gives 1920 x 1200, while its highlight table says 1920 x 1080, so check the spec sheet if resolution matters

Who it’s for: freelancers who need a Windows laptop for browser apps, Microsoft 365, invoicing and video calls, and want 16GB of memory without paying MacBook prices. Anker Nano Power Bank and Nano Charger bundle: $65.98 at Best Buy

Best Buy’s Deal of the Day includes an Anker bundle (model B1638): a Nano Power Bank with 10,000mAh capacity, 45W maximum output and a built-in USB-C cable, plus a 45W Nano Charger with a smart display, for $65.98. Best Buy shows a $99.98 Comp. Value ($34, or 34%, off). It is sold by AnkerDirect through Best Buy’s Marketplace, not by Best Buy itself, and had no reviews yet. Its page showed a Deal of the Day countdown with roughly 18 hours left when we checked.

For comparison, Amazon sells an Anker Nano Power Bank (45W, 10,000mAh, retractable USB-C cable) on its own for $59.99, sold by AnkerDirect and shipped by Amazon. It is not the identical product, but if you already have a USB-C wall charger, the Amazon power bank costs $5.99 less than the bundle.

Who it’s for: anyone who needs a single travel kit for a phone, earbuds and a small tablet. Skip it if you want to top up a laptop on the road; 45W charges many thin laptops slowly, and 10,000mAh is less than one full charge for most of them.

Also at a matching price: Apple Pencil Pro for $99

Amazon has the Apple Pencil Pro for $99.00, $30 (23%) below its $129.00 List Price, sold by Amazon, with 4.6 out of 5 from 10,886 ratings. Best Buy listed it at $99 as well. Check Apple’s compatibility list before buying; Amazon’s listing itself flags that a device compatibility check is required, and the Pencil Pro does not work with every iPad.

How to choose between these deals

  • Check the seller line. All Amazon prices above except the Anker power bank were sold and shipped by Amazon. The Anker bundle at Best Buy is a Marketplace listing, which can mean different return handling.
  • Compare like for like. Mac configurations and colours are priced separately; the $1,299.99 MacBook Air price applies only to Sky Blue.
  • Treat reference prices with care. A List Price or Comp. Value shows what a retailer compares against, not what most buyers paid last month. The Lenovo’s $1,299.99 Comp. Value is the clearest example.
  • Use price matching if it suits you. Best Buy runs a price-match policy; if you prefer in-store pickup, ask whether it applies to Amazon’s AirTag or Mac mini price, and check the current policy terms before relying on it.
